Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum was formed in 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee, by Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott. Scott is the daughter of country singer Linda DavisARA Charles Kelley is brother of pp artist Josh Kelley. This family relationship and music industry bond helped the band launch.

Kelley moved to Nashville in mid-2005 from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she worked in the building with her brother John. The intention to succeed as a solo country artist led him to convince his classmate at the school, Haywood, to move to Nashville from Georgia in 2006 so they could write music together. Shortly after, Scott got to know Kelley from MySpace, and they started chatting at a Nashville music club and Scott's touch to join together and Haywood in a new group, to be named Lady Antebellum.

On a BBC radio show on August 9, 2010, the band explained the name of Antebellum who was then photographing the "antebellum" house. The antebellum architecture style (antebellum written "before the war") is a large plantation house in South America. While photographing it was one of the group members whose name the name of the bus became a big band name, and shortly afterwards they named their band Lady Antebellum. The trio then began performing at local events in Nashville before contracting with Capitorl Records Nashville in July 2007. In an interview with Radio Sirius Satellite, Scott declared himself rejected from the American Idol event twice, even he did not make it to the Round first
